  1. The environment can not prompt you to buy. Some years ago the speech was that a house always was revalued, that it was the best investment and that the mortgages were easily obtained. Now, the speech is that if you don't hurry up you won't find any bargain. So, before doing anything, think: Do you really want to buy? Do you know what you want? Do you think it will be useful if your situation changes (children, workplace, etc.…;)?
  2. Review your financial situation. It's true that now the price of the houses has gone down and that it's a good moment to buy, but it doesn't mean that you can buy without value your finances. Lots of people regrets having bought a house that was below their means.
  3. Don't you prefer to rent? The youth has it clear, how can you buy if the working market don't give us any guarantee? But if you have more stability and purchasing power, you can also think if it's better renting than buying, do not discard this option from the beginning. If not, remember that buying for renting it's also a profitable option.
  4. Set your needs and do not give up. Lots of people who end up regretting their purchase, regrets having bought a home that did not fit their real needs in size or location. To avoid this kind of emotional errors when you buy, make a list with what is essential for you and do not give up until you find it. Often, after having visited so many houses, the buyer begins to falter with his initial criteria. They may change, but what was fundamental for you should remain until the end.
  5. Do lots of research and put yourself in the hands of a professional. Investigate the prices of the area you are interested in, the year of construction, the quality of the building, speak with neighbours of the building if it's necessary... And, of course, put yourself into the hands of an agent who advises you during all the process and who takes the search for your ideal home as a professional challenge.
