Steps to follow for the inheritance of a property

The procedures with the administration must be fulfilled within a period of six months from the death and the following steps must be followed:

• Obtaining the necessary documents. Basically you need the death certificate of the deceased person, the certificate of the general registration of acts of the last will and the certificate of the Insurance Register with death coverage.
• Testament or declaration of heirs.
• Inventory of real estate. To know the properties you must go to the Property Registry and request a certificate in which all the data appear.
• Partition of the inheritance. This will be done if there is no will.
