The choice between buying or renting a home is one decision that strongly affects our economy. For that reason it's important to consider various elements before doing this significant investment:

• The zone where we want to live.
• The total amount of time we foresee on living in that property.
• Our personal needs.
• Our lifestyle.
• The amount of money we can and want to invest.

Depending on the home' settlement and zone, the difference in the price per square meter or the rent will be considerably different.

Renting can be the best option in short term, as it doesn't require a big initial investment. Nevertheless, buying is a good choice if looking for a home in long term.

Both situations have pros and cons, but it mainly depends on the personal situation and the person's future's perspective. Therefore, the first question we have to answer when looking for a home is which option suits best for us.
