To save energy during Christmas holidays
We all like to decorate the house for Christmas. However, you have to keep an eye on Christmas lighting, as it can be very beautiful for a few days but disgust you at the end of the month. We suggest you to use garlands with LED lamps instead of incandescent light bulbs (you will spend half of the money) and to disconnect the lights from the tree and other decorative elements during the time you are away from home and nobody contemplates them.
We also have to be careful in the kitchen. These days are unimaginable without family meals with lots of of guests, so it's normal to have large amounts of dirty dishes. What many people do not know is that washing them by hand can match the party to the hosts. Washing the dishes in the dishwasher is cheaper, since less water is spent and even less electricity if the thermostat is electric. The usual tricks are also applicable and equally useful during these days: try to use pot-pans instead of pans, if you use casseroles because they're required by the dish do not forget to cover them and if you have to use the oven, use more than one tray and cook several dishes at the same time, apart from opening the door only when it's necessary to avoid heat loss.
You still have time to implement these tips!
