Energy certificate

Since June 2013, it is mandatory to rent or sell to have an energy certificate for housing. This consists of a report on energy consumption and CO2 emissions. With this certificate, the energy label is obtained, which differs in a scale of colors ranging from A (the most efficient) to G (the least efficient). Then, it informs you of the thermal conditions of the property, the recommended improvements, the inspections that have been carried out, and so on.

In short, with this label you can prove that your property is efficient and you must present it in any real estate. Otherwise, you could face fines ranging from € 300 in the most minor infractions to € 6,000 in the most serious.
